The album is actually relatively easy to enter, opening with 20 minutes of varied sounds that form mini-patterns, even getting rhythmic at times. But once the noises pile up, things ascend into a challenging assault that rarely recedes. From there, a diverse collection of sonic parts add up to a monolithic sum- the kind only noise obsessives are likely to sift through. Merzbow was back in the States just recently to play Giffoni's No Fun Fest, but the creative success of this record demands that Giffoni return the favor, and get back into Akita and O'Rouke's sonic territory as soon as possible. Live Recording. No Fun Productions. Carlos Giffoni is a Venezuelan artist who resides in the New York City area, working with modular synthesizers and other electronic equipment to create massive electronic pieces, as well as improvising with well-known musicians from all over the world like Jim O'Rourke, Merzbow, Zbigniew Karkowski, Astro and many others. Warm, varied, and obsessive, this is what industrial music should have been, the sound of infinite machines demolishing a planet and creating a new structure where live organisms have been eradicated. 2007 - Merzbow Carlos Giffoni Jim O'Rourke - Electric Dress, by erasethegrey93 download. 2007 - Merzbow vs Nordvargr - Partikel II, by erasethegrey93 download.
