Spock's father Sarek, the legendary Vulcan ambassador, now remarried to another Earth-woman, Perrin, boards the Enterprise to crown his career -before retiring - by finalizing painstakingly prepared peace negotiations with the Legarans. His chief of staff and personal assistant asked Sarek to be given maximal rest in view of his weak health, but he insists on attending the ship's Mozart concert starring Data as violin soloist in his honor, and is seen there to cry, unknown for a Vulcan. A great Star Trek novel A. crispin, heroine of the prose. I read this novel in the year of 2000. This Star Trek series book tells the story of Sarek in the time not long after the events of the movie Star Trek VI. In addition to the main plot, his life with Amanda is told through flashbacks and journal entries. The main cast also make appearances, at times unlikely but well written all the same. So I listened to this one on audio as well. It was read by Mark Lenard who played Sarek in the tv show and movies and I've gotta say I could listen to him talk all day long. He has such a great voice The book itself is absolutely wonderful. And for Star Trek-The Motion Picture he became the first Klingon captain to don the new ridged look and utter what became the full Klingon language. Born Leonard Rosenson in Chicago in 1924, Lenard was also a fan favorite as Aaron Stempel, the villain sawmill owner opposite the Bolt brothers over two seasons of ABCs Here Comes The Brides, and as Gen. Urkl in simian make-up for the TV version of Planet of the Apes. Lenard fit the VulcanRomulan look so well that he was briefly considered as a replacement Vulcan in 1967 when Leonard Nimoy balked at contract negotiations to return for the second season of Star Trek. He ah. Lenard died at age 72 on Nov. Star Trek Mark Lenard as Sarek. Star Trek: Picard, Data, Spock - would have hands full just with the TNG Harry Potter: HI5 - so adorably mean and miserable, Snape rules But there are also Lupin what hairy is OK and Albus that would be platonic LOTR: Gandalf AND Saruman AND Théoden. A chat with Gene Roddenberry and Ambassador Sarek, portrayed by Mark Lenard. From the 1976 Columbia Records album Inside Star Trek. Canon Wars Lenard.
